Technology Valuation Workshop

Securing funding is a key challenge for technological innovators, be they corporate intrapreneurs within an R&D environment, or entrepreneurs involved in a university spin-out. In this session we explore how entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs can improve the investor readiness of their specific venture or programme by applying business valuation methods.

Joy van der Veer is Senior Lecturer at TIAS School for Business and Society affiliated to both Tilburg University and the Technical University Eindhoven in the Netherlands. As a practitioner he was laureled by his Dutch peers with Best Business Valuator in 2015. He is a member of the SRA (Cooperation of Register Accountants and Accountant-Administration Consultants,) an organization of independent and public accountants in the Netherlands. Joy is also a member of the Dutch Institute of Registered Valuators (NIRV). Joy studied Business Economics and Accountancy and worked as a public accountant. After completing his postgraduate register valuator program, he specialized in Business Valuation of small and medium-sized enterprises. He completed the Executive Master in Finance and the Executive Master in Business Valuation at TIAS and presently participates in the executive PhD program.
