3D printing: creating and capturing value in the new industrial age

3D Printing/Additive Manufacturing technologies are enablers of a new industrial age, where manufacturing capabilities no longer need to be concentrated and new modes of production and value chains can be reconfigured at will. Yet, while these technologies are undoubtedly very powerful tools, they are also very disruptive. Hence, it is critical to understand how 3DP/AM technologies can be used to create and capture value. For this session, we invite contributions form both academics and practitioners that enable to understand better how 3DP/AM impacts innovation (in particular open and user innovation), entrepreneurship, business models and intellectual property.
